In a launch event earlier today, ASUS unveiled its newest range of gaming smartphones in the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro.

The new gaming phones comes with best in-class specifications, which include the Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform processor, up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. While these specifications will soon be part of other flagship mobile phones, it's ASUS' software and hardware tweaks for gaming fanatics that separate it from the rest.

Along with the AirTrigger 6 buttons which are customizable, ASUS is selling other accessories which improve the phone's capabilities during gaming. This include the one-of-a-kind AeroActive Cooler 6 for the ROG Phone 6 and Phone 6 Pro.

The AeroActive Cooler 6 is the world's first wireless clip-on thermoelectric cooler. The AI-powered accessory contains a fan along with the thermoelectric cooler, which blows cooled air directly to the back of the phone. The increased cooling airflow helps keep the phone at normal temperatures during high demand scenarios such as gaming.

However, the AeroActive Cooler 6 isn't just for cooling purposes, as it also provides new control options for gamers as well. The accessory contains not one but four tactile, physical buttons that players can customize to their tune. These buttons are referenced after console controllers, and it can definitely like a LT and RT button that players have seen with the Xbox controllers for over a decade.
